Project: Secondary Glazing 

Client: St. Metro Hotel / Harrow Homes

This client approached us with a significant issue following the introduction of a 24-hour bus lane outside the hotel, which resulted in a dramatic increase in noise complaints from guests.


To assess the effectiveness of a solution, we initially installed secondary glazing in one bedroom as a sample. Prior to the installation, decibel testing was carried out to establish a baseline for noise levels. The results were extremely successful, leading to instructions to proceed with the installation of secondary glazing throughout the entire hotel.


We have recently completed works across all 88 bedrooms. Since the installation of the secondary glazing screens, the hotel has reported no further guest noise complaints. The entire project was completed with no disruption to guests, hotel operations, or day-to-day services.

For this project at Johnstown House Estate, we were tasked with providing specialist access solutions to reach difficult areas within the hotel.



Using our spider cherry picker, our team carefully navigated through restricted access points across the spa area and into the main section of the hotel. This allowed safe and efficient access to hard-to-reach locations while ensuring minimal disruption to guests, staff, and daily hotel operations.
